Last week to start the summer off, I had dinner with a very close family friend named Pam. She is so cool; she's funny, spontaneous and loves our family. After dinner at Bambinellis, we went to see Letters to Juliet the movie. It was a wonderful romantic comedy with a little touch of mystery. We all enjoyed the film, you should definitely go see the movie if you like the story of Romeo and Juliet.
On Saturday, June 5 I had a tennis tournament in Sandy Springs. During the first day of the tournament, I won my first two matches playing tough girls. The next day, I played in the semi-finals at 8:30 AM. I lost to a girl who ended up going to the finals and she was a whole year older than me. Later that day, I played a match to decide third and fourth place. I had won the first set 6-4 and we were in the middle of the second set, when it started to rain. We had to stop and when we came back from the rain delay, my opponent won the second set 4-6. (In tennis you always say your score first.) We then headed to a 10-point tiebreaker. I was able to squeeze out the win, defeating her 6-4, 4-6, 10-8. I was so proud of myself. In that tournament, I had gotten third place overall, only losing one match. (That was the best I had ever done. To add to that excitement, my state ranking in my age group went up significantly and now I am 307 in U14 girls tennis in GA. Before that, I was in the mid 400's.)
Right after I finished my match, we headed home because we were going to visit Nana since her birthday was a few days before. My mom and I whipped up a cake as fast as we could. (Chocolate, White Icing and Sprinkles. It was delicious!!!) We drove to Nana’s apartment and celebrated with Pop-Pop, too. I gave Nana a pillow I had made in a short-term class at my school and the rest of the family presented Nana with a beautiful necklace. I enjoyed spending time with the family, but I was exhausted and needed sleep. It had been a long weekend, but extremely fun. What a great way to start off my spectacular summer!
congrats on your tennis wins!

Thanks! I wouldn't mind traveling the world or eating food. To be honest, I love both of those things. Also, I am glad that you were able to become a follower of my blog.
